1. Africathodes Robotic Hanger Bar welding

New cathode plates can be a be a very expensive and capital intensive project to undertake when is comes to replacing old / disused stock. 
 

We offer a new lease of life to those disused plates old plates!

Due to the demanding acidic conditions underwhoch cathodes plates are used, the Africathodes Robotic Solution offers unparralled and robust welding between New cladded / copper core hanger and plate. The weld is consistent and can not be match in consistency with welding by a human hand.

2. Permanent Edge Strips

 

Permanent Edge strips are fast becoming the new normal way of running cathode plates. They offer upto 70% reducion in opertaional costs when compaired to conventional edge strips. They last between 2 to 5 years compared to 3 to 6 months of conventional edge strips! We back that claim up by offering a 2 year warranty so that you don't have to worry about edge strips and availability of the cathodes in the tank house anymore. 

 

They are cheaper to run and significantly reduce cathode stripping problems.

Not only are pur solutions the cheaper way to go, they are also the greener way to go. Instead of throwing away heaps of PVC, Polyurathane, HDPE and Rubber conventional edge strips that break every 3 months, we offer a long lasting solution (upto 5 years) that only require replacement when needed, and at a cheaper cost, on implementation as well as chepaer on replacement.  

Custom  Robotic Waterjet Cutting and Welding

In addition to our cutting edge robotic welding abilities, we are once again pioneering robotic waterjet cutting for precision custom jobs. This means, no heat distortion and very accurate dimentions on 2D and 3D cutting and machining. 

 

Not only does this enhance the manufacturing process for Cathode plates and installation of permanent edge strips, we are able to product complex cutting patterns to maximise material usage while remaining as precise as required. From a 2D or 3D drawing, we are able to produce, and reproduce quality cutting with smooth edges upto 20mm in thickness of virtually any metal.
