About Us
Cathodex Zambia Limited is a fully Zambian owned company that provides the latest in cathode plate technology. Our partners and raw materials, from as far away as Europe, United States and China, are carefully selected to ensure the solutions we provide are of the highest quality and provide the best performance.
Founded in 2011, we became the first company to provide cost saving, environmentaly friendly Permanent Edge Strip solutions for cathode plates to the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Region. Situated in Ndola - Zambia, we are able provide world class quality right on the door steps of our clients, at a fraction of the price.
In May 2013, Cathodex Zambia Limited lost it's CEO and founding partner Mr Aulis Jamia. The Late Mr Jamia was an inspiration to the company with a wealth of experience in plastics. He will be remembered as a bonified inventor with a keen eye to solving problems. A Finnish flag flies in his honor to this day at Cathodex Zambia Limited (MHSRIP).
The innovative drive continued at Cathodex Zambia. In July 2014, Cathodex Zambia Limited took on new collaborating partners in the fields of Robotics (Britain), Automation (Britain) and Hanger Bar Manufacturing (China); armed with a collective experience of over 75 years in the Mining industry, AFRICATHODES was launched. Cathodex Zambia Limited made history and became the first company to offer Robotic Welding facilities in Zambia and Congo DR. The company became the first manufacture new cathode plates with the best in Stainless Steel welding technology able to compete on a global market. Our Cathode plate refurbishment also re-engineers damaged cathodes to better suit the toughest African Conditions, as well as agressive Manual stripping when needed. Our Africathodes are designed to be run at a very low maintenance cost when compared to conventional practices. We save our client's money everyday!
